How can you afford it?

After being away several months, I notice many of the same faces are still spending all day posting, despite their assurances that they work. One even spent a whole day waiting until 5.30 pm before posting just to prove she is employed!!! (only people unemployed or on benefits for years would assume the average work day is still from Nine-to-Five LOL!)

My question is, how do you afford to be here so much? Do you live off savings, an inheritance, divorce settlement, or do you simply chat from a library or a second hand notebook on limited internet usage?

To get a decent computer costs at least $2000 and without good internet connection, chatting on a forum isn't even worth it, so are these regulars going into debt over the boards? Would a bank even loan or credit them enough to supplement their activites and time usage here?

It's all very puzzling...

I did. Around here though that's what they stock.

I just wanted a back lit keyboard and the widow was the only one at that time, it kept starting to double type though, so after I had exchanged it a few times, I swapped models. only had the stalker for na few days, but I still don't like it very much.

but hush about my Viper! it's red!

(But you're right, it was cheap $102 delivered (between 250 and 300 everywhere else including eBay), but apart from not having USB3 (which I installed) it had the same specs as the only other red one available at that time. It's just a case.

besides, all that matters is that I like it, so there is no need to be rude about it, ok?

You tell 'em crikey!

Love that keyboard.  Mine's a boring Microsoft wireless.   HD 36" TV is my monitor, can toggle

between tv & computer.  Put it up to 200% and everyone says "So just how bad is your eyesight?"

Viper away I say.    My daughter says red ones go faster........or is that cars?

I don't have tv LOLOL

when I'm studying or working i crank up the two screens, just easier - I can have 4 screens - ran out of gaffer tape tho ROFL.

we got the screens for free, (5 of em) so really didn't have a choice of size.

and yes, red goes faster in everything!

when I was putting my list together for my "dream computer" *red* was the number one requirement!

this keyboard isn't wireless, but it lights up and I wanted it to do that. One benefot of the stalker is that the second function on the number keys and F keys lights up too, whereas on the widow, only the primary function did, so if I couldn't remember what key did what I got a bit stoofed!

solved that though, kid had a mouse that ws shaped like a car. the bonnet was the left and right click and the headlights worked, so I could just shine the high beam of the headlights onto the keys LOL.

I have had my laptop hard drive replaced under extended guarantee recently. It is nearly 3 yrs old.

techo said to me; hard drives usually live for about 3 years and was surprised mine lasted 6 years (desktop though)

i was interested how long the extended warranty was for and whether the $240 outlay is worth it coz hard drive replacements costs about that.

LOL, you must be easily pleased if you think less than $2000 buys you a great computer!

tell us about your set up?

mine (quad core) cost me a grand and the specs are big everything

I know... I just bought a pc for my son... great little gaming machine... on sale from a chain store but still top range..... $1200 for us.

mines not quite a gamer but i wanted something Quick! and i didnt want to spend more then a grand, a lesser machine wouldve been too slow for my liking.

I think the op is either gullible or boasting... not sure what yet..

possibly money bags
