Why did the UN and the Global Warming religion change from 'Global Warming" to "Climate Change"
After a decade of the earth not warming outside the normal fluctuation the UN was able to be contradicted and shown that Global Warming was not happening.
When the change was made to Climate Change the contradiction was removed because every one KNOWS that the climate changes and always has done.
Now lets see if the UN can demonstrate how humans are having an adverse affect on the climate.

Thats why there is so much money invested in the "that doesn't work its all nonsense'' campaigns . with reduced electricity use ,, electricity suppliers make less. big energy have always been the most ruthless of operators. does anyone seriously expect them to be ethical? they are funding possibly the largest misinformation campaign i've seen or heard of. something that is in fact The conspiracy of the day . the rest can be dismissed with research, with this issue research only leads to affirming the veracity of this,

Some of those people have records going back generations. They don't rely on memory alone.

@ca04 wrote:Another interesting point is how many people believing in "climate change" and support the media hype still drive a car bigger than they need? Replace it every year? Live in a house bigger than needed? Replace things just because they are no longer new? and so the list goes on.
Over consuming, while loved by the economists, is one of the greatest things driving pollution.
Nearly every single person I know who is concerned about the environment also limit their consumerism. Including myself.
The only people I know who drive gas guzzling cars and replace them every year are those who do not give a toss about the environment. Co-incidently these people are usually the only right voting people I know.
Everyone else thinks carefully and understands the consequences of what they buy, what they drive, how they travel on holidays, what they eat, what they throw away etc.

@poddster wrote:I ask once again, how does global pollution relate to climate change (the subject of this thread)
I am not sure what the point of the question is. But they are essentially one and the same.
Global warming is the effect on the temperature around the world due to changes due to the increased carbon dioxide we are emitting..
Climate change is the effect on the environment (which includes temperature) due to changes due to the increased carbon dioxide we are emitting.

We know that there is oil under the ice which is of interest to oil barons and the Powers that be in various Countries.
That that oil has been physically protected/guarded in the past. The warming is helping melt that ice ...warming is more money in their pockets. To those with interests in oil warming is a good thing.
Those at the very top may be feeling very desperate I think.
Old Math Casts Doubt on Accuracy of Oil Reserve Estimates
Rising reserve estimates gives the U.S. a false sense of security, said Tad Patzek, chairman of the Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
โWe have deceived ourselves into thinking that since we have an infinite resource, we donโt need to worry,โ Patzek said. โWe are stumbling like blind people into a future which is not as pretty as we think.โ

As far as our Electricity, water and gas bills .Overseas ownerships (recent sell offs to China) ,removal of regulations and Free trade agreements really need to thought out...and the possible impact that may have on everyone.
When we have little control and regulation on those things .............what may our 'usage' charges become ?
