I think there's those who come here with good intentions and others who just come to complain or start trouble, but please don't lump us all together. Like fayekinnitt noted all yanks are not the same.
PS: I like and respect the US policemen. I was stopped a couple weeks ago for speeding (somewhat) in a school zone. I wasn't in my usual stomping grounds, but, of course, that wasn't an excuse and sure didn't use it. I just told the officer that it wasn't like me to do such a thing and that I'm sure I would have caught myself in the next few seconds. My daughter was with me and she said, after I got away with a warning, that I called the officer 'hon' twice. ROFLOL
Well, he could have been my son. 🙂

Now my daughter may have tried that. 🙂 I'm better at connecting with them as mother and son. LOL

I say welcome to our American brothers and sisters. Doesn't mean we have to be nice to them though
It can be a rough playground occasionally.
I am in constant communication with my USA parent company (tools) so I have no problem translating your posts 😛
Tire/tyre, aluminum/aluminium, normalize/normalise, it's all beyond easy.

I checked out CS because of curiousity and stuck around because of the lighthearted threads. The kinds of threads that used to be on the Soapbox before the moderation got so strict and most of the "fun" posters either got banned or left in disgust.
I agree there's definitely a strong anit-American sentment here among some, which I wasn't expecting. But probably should have.
