It can be a rough playground occasionally.
I am in constant communication with my USA parent company (tools) so I have no problem translating your posts 😛
Tire/tyre, aluminum/aluminium, normalize/normalise, it's all beyond easy.
Vive la difference !
Plus my partner is Canadian, and she has worded me up on how strange the Americans are 🙂
Maybe we need a few Canadians on the boards

I have several in a my PB account. I always liked the tags that you made. I'm sure those are from CW.
In answer to your question..... The U.S. soapbox is still there. Lithium/ebay moved it to a group board. We were never a "group". It was the diversity and random people showing up all of the time, that made it interesting. They got rid of the diversity, through permanent bans.
Just a few days ago, a moderator posted (on a home thread) that the posters were going Off-topic. LOL. 10 posts in a month, and a moderator was worried that we weren't talking about a topic that was started over 5 years ago. The best part was that the moderator was chastizing the OP of the thread!!! LOL... the button pushers are desperate.
Yes, that is how bad the U.S. Soapbox has become.

By only a minority of posters I hope. They don't speak for the rest of us.

I like having them here. Particularly in the photo thread where we get to see squirrels and Walmart pictures
I doubt that much of the perceived animosity is personal. We may not agree with some of the american laws and stuff but I bet not all americans do either. Some of us don't like the US gunlaws, but some of us don't like ours either. It makes for interesting debates.

They have made a real mess of the US boards. You can't even read the posts in the correct order unless you have first logged in:

I never did like the tags. It just reminded me of frumpy middle aged women trying to look like they were cheeky and sexy babes LOL

LOL joono!
