How do you Justify a Good God when Evil like this happens?

Let's assume God does exist, people tend to think this God is good. Why? Isn't it just as likely if there's a God, it is more likely to be an Evil God?

Where was the Good God when the Boston bombing was happening? This just proves an Evil God exists, doesn't it?

Re: How do you Justify a Good God when Evil like this happens?

Bad things can happen to all people. And sometimes when things happen to us, it isn't for us. Sometimes God lets things happen to us so that others can see how we handle problems. We never know who is watching us and how our testimony will affect their lives. My husband was diagnosed with a terminal disease that there was no human cure for. We refused to accept the Doctors report that he was going to die, within 6 mo to 2 years. We stood on God's promises to heal my husband in spite of the fact that he wasn't getting better and the medical reports were grim. We made sure we had no sin in our lives and we prayed the healing Scriptures. We were obedient and faithful to God and we held him to his word. God was faithful to His word and He healed my husband from pulmonary fibrosis. It was a true miracle. It isn't a disease it is possible to recover from, the doctors were astonished. During this time, many people were watching us in our community to see if we really lived our faith and whether we would give up when, things didn't turn around, in a timely manner. Our faith has helped a lot of people, they saw that no matter what Satan threw at us and believe me there was a lot, but we never doubted God's willingness to heal my husband, and our faithfulness paid off.

You can never give up and you have to say in God's word and pray without ceasing. God will come through for you. We don't always know the whys and sometimes you just have to take the attitude that God has a reason, and the fact is it might not be just for you, but He will get you through and bless you for your faithfulness.

Natural evil represents the design of an intelligent Creator.

God could eliminate most or all natural evil but that would be too simplistic and show a lack of basic understanding of how the physics of the universe operates.

Natural evil is required for the existence of humankind and to provide the evidence for God's existence.

Our planet would be dreadfully overpopulated were it nnot for evil things happening would it not?

The Bible may be fictitious but we have no way of knowing this and it gives comfort and solace to so many.

Re: How do you Justify a Good God when Evil like this happens?

Why do people still insist on a good god and the evil devil.

God is not a white haired old gentleman who sits up on a fluffy cloud sending blessings and answering prayers.

THe devil is not a horned satyr flitting around causing mischief.

Nature is about balance and every person has the capacity for evil acts.

NOthing dies of old age in nature, it is killed at some stage of it's life.

Even an animal that has a long life is killed as soon as it slows down after it's prime.

Our society breeds pointless cruelty far more prominently.

NO god or devil did it.
