How do you like your soup?

I love this weather cold and raining, as long as we don't get too much of it.

Soup will definitely be on the menu tonight.  I go through stages with soup, am back into the smooth version, unless

it is a barley and veg soup then I like it straight up not blended.

There is nothing like the aroma of a pot of soup on the stove. I think it will be barley and veg tonight a personal favourite.

I always thought vegetable soups had to chunky until I lunched with a friend who blends her soup. Now I'm a convert.

I was the same and have been converted too. Still like the traditional veg soup straight up but my chunks are small.

For me a soup is a soup and needs to be delicate and have some liquid, if  I want chunky that's a casserole or stew.

I purchased a Kambrook soup maker recently, it is fantastic! you can choose smooth, blended, chunky or pulse and it is 21 minutes from start to finish!

I love soup but my favourite is pumpkin.

I think my friend has that, azure. It might be worth investing in although I am finding the older I get, the more I revert to basic cooking methods with less gadgets.

Me too but I just got rid of a heap of those gadgets and this one means I don't use the hotplates, which use more power. I swapped everything for the soup maker, a pressure cooker and wok.

I like mine smooth. I was going to buy one of those soup makers last winter, I should get around to it. it sounds much easier than the way I do it currently

Yes, you won't be sorry! I also use it for the gluten free/fussy eater 7 yo's. It's a great alternative for afternoon snack time. $80 well spent but if you have one of those spotlight vouchers, spend $100 pay $60, they have them atm for $99.95, spend 5c more and it is $60

I made chicken and sweetcorn soup last weekend which I love.  This weekend I'm going to make the lamb shank and pearl barley broth from the taste .com website.  I love pearl barley except when you add too much and when you save left overs it swells up and turns the soup to jelly.

Chunky soup for me.
