I ask Christians why they think People convert to Islam. They'll answer they've been brainwashed or lied to. So they can see it in others.

But to an Atheist that's admitting that religion's lie for their own agendas,(each one claims the "true" religion

card and the others are wrong, but none is correct).

They "need" to believe in something as the world just doesn't make sense.

Considering all the pain and misery in this world people need to have religion in the hope that there is some

hope for this world.

From an Atheist point of view the supposed holly entity must be the biggest,(fill your own) around as all the

religious  praying and worshipping has not changed the world one iota,(it's still in chaos and religion is a big

part of the reason).

He/she/it/whatever is supposed to be caring, protecting, merciful, etc to help and assist the human race,(does

anyone see that happening anywhere on this Earth?),tease.gif

Instead we have Earthquakes,Tornadoes,Cyclones,Tsunamis,Volcanic eruptions and murderers,(you sure the

right "guy" is in charge?,Who knows.gif

Maybe we are, maybe all the atrocities shown on TV supposedly committed by ISIS are staged by CIA & mossad to turn the world against the Arab countries.

and isis is more than happy to claim

responsibility.

you didnt think that one through very well

did you

ISIS is not one homogeneous group, and in any case how do you know that ISIS is claiming responsibility?  That might be all part of the whole brainwashing we are subjected to?

Many Germans still believe that Poland attacked Germany.

Julia, this topic is about brainwashing.  I as just making point, which is that when people are brainwashed they can always find argument to support their beliefs.  I could say that the reason we do not see ISIS denying claims is because our media, who are those doing the brainwashing, would not publish it.  Which is NOT what I believe but some brainwashed people might.

But, what I do believe is that we are being told what suits the agenda.  When the uprising started in Syria, we were on ISIS side - remember?  I have friends from Syria, and they do not like Assad, but they like ISIS even less.  And I remember there was a time that on this forum there was big support for the guys who were fighting against Assad's army.  On our current affair programs they were called freedomfighters.  I was the only one who was trying to point out that many Syrians would rather Bashar al-Assad than ISIS.
