How reliable is switchwise?

Checking out electricity prices, I am currently with tru energy who are now Energy Australia except no one told switch wise that!.  However on the exact same rates, supply charges etc its claiming I'll save $394 odd dollars. How does that work?

Not sure I believe them there is no way we would save a penny if the rates and supply charges are the same, how misleading.  Does anyone know of a more reliable site?

Tru Energy and Energy Australia are giving different discounts in different areas.  You would get more accurate figures by going to each suppliers site and see what is on offer for your area.

Also, it depends who the offer comes from.  I am with Energy Australia with a 12% and we received an offer in the mail for 15% and $100 credit on the first bill.  When I rang them I was told that the offer must have come from one of their agents.

I talked with some organisation recently and they told me that AGL offered the best deal in my area ... so, I'm swapping.

In my junk email, I got a link to this site:

http://referrer.acquireap.com/lead/?link_id=3032&stat_id=16822707

No knowledge of them, haven't even opened the link, just thought I would pass it on.

Electricity prices in NSW are ridiculously high.

I just put this on facebook to my friends.

Am I peed off ????? yes. we changed electricity providers thru one big switch to energy Australia ( was Tru energy) about 3 months ago and still not completely changed because obviously the people who work there cannot count to 5 because we have 5 apartments and they all have separate account numbers which is OK because that is what they do but with U5 being the billing address for all 5 accounts (to easy but not for some). Had a phone call from energy wizards last week (my husband took the call ) and he was asked if he wanted to change to AGL, he said NO but if they wanted to send an email saying what is offered they can. Well, big mistake, today I received 5 schedules from AGL with the electricity taken out of my name and put into his name and a cooling off period of 10 days. I have had to ring AGL and cancel contracts we did not even agree to which in itself was a hassle, so everyone be careful and if someone from energy wizards rings you and you do not want to change tell them to P off.

You can get 17% with energy Australia so ask, I did and I have but remember it is ONLY off your usage and not your whole account.

I'm already with Tru energy which is now Energy Australia the rate comparison is exactly the same as the bill I have in front on me so it makes no sense. I'm in the same area nothing different same off peak, peak and usage charges. I'm looking at the figures switchwise have on their website... nothing different...

It says nothing about a discount but the thing is I can't change with them because I am already with them lol  I think I might try iselect and see if they offer some real alternatives.  I didn't find any of the other providers offered anything different unless there is a first year discount for switching over.

Ok just did the iselect one and there is only about 20 -30 dollars difference so not really worth changing at this stage.
