How would you best describe right wing propaganda?

Fear would be my best description

Anyone else?

Re: How would you best describe right wing propaganda?

We’ve seen some examples of right wing propaganda here on Community Spirit and for those who gave examples we will be eternally grateful. However, a fine example of left wing propaganda should be entered into the debate to demonstrate that left wing propaganda exists. Most people are aware of the tactics used to cow people into thinking that the world was coming to an end. Stories about global warming were started to alacrify people. Gaia saw the ranks of her footsoldiers swell. Those not in thrall to global warming were branded as deniers. Marshall Applewhite, Lee Jang Rim, and Jim Jones would have given their right arms to attract so many gullible people.

Juxtapose the following two stories to see how left wing propaganda is just that; propaganda.

Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past

BY CHARLES ONIANS Monday 20 March 2000

Britain's winter ends tomorrow with further indications of a striking environmental change: snow is starting to disappear from our lives.

The first two months of 2000 were virtually free of significant snowfall in much of lowland Britain, and December brought only moderate snowfall in the South-east. It is the continuation of a trend that has been increasingly visible in the past 15 years: in the south of England, for instance, from 1970 to 1995 snow and sleet fell for an average of 3.7 days, while from 1988 to 1995 the average was 0.7 days. London's last substantial snowfall was in February 1991.

"Children just aren't going to know what snow is," he said.

Gridlock in UK: Cars abandoned, passengers stranded after heavy snowfall Sat 12:05 PM 2014

A group of coach passengers spent the night in a church in Sheffield, and people have been leaving their cars to seek shelter.

HEAVY SNOW AND icy temperatures are causing major travel problems across the UK, with reports of bus passengers and drivers stranded in some areas.

A group of coach passengers spent the night in a church in Sheffield, according to the BBC— and the AA said lots of cars had been abandoned in the area.

Liverpool and Leeds Bradford Airport were closed last night for a time, but have now reopened.

The events and predictions about global warming and climate change saw many well placed people lay claim to theomania and little else.

"Recharging for the next debate" Remember to get the polarity right, you would not want to reverse your polarity and become a leftie.

You seem to believe that belittling, name calling and being condescending is debate and in that you would be wrong.

Not at all. Any tactic to win.

And I don't give an inch to the other side.

Why do you have to win a conversation?

How is calling people names, getting abusive, applying labels to people "winning"?
