Took my kids shopping in Myer today and while they were looking at games I went to the shoe section as I needed some every day comfortable sandals that I can slip on.
I am now a convert and a dag apparently
Can anybody guess which brand I purchased? I tried on some Trent Nathan first - they were a terrible fit. So I did try not to be a dag

Crocs! Except I don't think Myer sells them. I've got a pair of Crocs sandles *blush*

Not in the way the OP used it.
Dag is an Australian and New Zealand slang term. In Australia, it is often used as an affectionate insult[1] for someone who is, or is perceived to be, unfashionable, lacking self-consciousness about their appearance and/or with poor social skills yet affable and amusing. In New Zealand, it is used to describe an amusing, quirky and likeable person (as in, "He's a bit of a dag") and is non-pejorative. The term was more widely used in the 70s due to the popular New Zealand comedy of 'Fred Dagg'.
