this forum.
Have people become so discerning that they will post on just about anyones posts?
Is that what is has come to?
it would appear so.
Those were the days my friends..........................................

but thats the issue though, people have become so overly sensitive they will find offence in almost anything.
Its not as fun as it once was because people hit the button all to often, people ended up putting in disclaimers that they were joking. Not needed. Button pushers ran riot and still do on this board here and now becuase they perceive a post/thread to be interpersonal
The opening thread pre-moderated is a good example. Someone got their back up thought it was all about them and hit the button, or someone thought it was all about another person so hit the button. When there was a much simpler explanation at the particular word used
Its very well known that the mods didnt and sometimes still dont read the threads in context and thats why so many of us spent so much time and still do appealing stupid reports.
I was told by a dearly loved person who no longer posts here that she let me run round the block a few times before ever really replying to my posts so she could see if I was for real or not. I laughed and we are friends away from here.
Duff even had a go at me in the early days too, to the point I was kind of afraid of her 😄 (sorry duff) but i could take what was said with a grain of salt or take it personally and report everything. Grain of salt it was

..... I can't go back in time and try the old ones out and it would be of no added benefit imo to these boards if I did that.
Everyone who posts on CS here and now can do their own bit to enjoy them .
If they can't or won't take that initiative themselves ....why post complaints ?
good post Iza!

I suspect we have less BP's and more zealous Mods who take it upon themselves to change the wording in our posts (and therefore change the context) or just delete the post all together. Then they like to give us advice on what to say and how to say it.
An over moderated board limits spontaneous fun and stimulating discussion.
PS I'm not allowed to use a term I've been using for years - a kitty cat opening in a door. *rolls eyes*

I feel sorry for those who did not experience CW so cannot knowledgibly compare this new forum with it. There were so many people who posted and when I say many, I mean many. CS probably has about 5% of that amount.

that's fine Chuk , just ask and I will do my best to clarify any confusion you may have.
I'd rather that than have any other poster assuming and looking so hard at my posts as they themselves determine and post that I am being snide, passive aggressive or anything like that.
I'm still in holiday mode atm...I found this thread funny... not a serious thread
and loved the silly posts most of all ...they were fun imo

Hi Bluecat, why do any CS posters need to have to be able to compare to post here on CS ?

I agree with Duff, yet I keep coming back here. Bad habit or nostalgia?
What good is sympathy without a hug? So, here's a hug for you, Boris {{{ }}}.

I like stupid threads. I don't have the mental capacity to contribute to 'proper' threads, so stupid ones suit me just fine
