Have people become so discerning that they will post on just about anyones posts?

Is that what is has come to?

it would appear so.

Those were the days my friends..........................................

Some of the threads I remember fondly involved beaver cartoons, blow-up betty (a couple of lads doing a tour of Oz with a blow up doll, fun pics), cleaning of catflaps, corn, pineapple juice. Barbie dolls, postcards from ebali, purple couches, cupcakes and closets, friday night freakiness when ebay were doing maintenaince, and 101 uses for a dead cat, Puddlebacks Caturday threads.

These weren't mean threads, but often there was sexual innuendo or adult themes, nothing x-rated (well except for grandpa trout and that pair of knees). I must be coming across as a deviate, but those were the threads I liked, ones where we could be adults. Unless there was a vendetta, posts often stayed for days. I think in some ways the boards had more tolerant users than they do now. Now it is so PC.  I'm sure there are interesting threads, but I'm not interested in politics or current affairs. (mostly due to my own ignorance on the outside world)

I also think moderators sanitizing posts sucks

That's it in a nutshell.

Re: I feel sorry for

I have no idea what prompted this or what was in the original OP.

Nothing stays the same............... well not for long anyway.

Some welcomed the new system, thing it was a better form of moderation, it turns out it isn't better, just different.

The editing of posts changes the meaning of posts, if edited by the mods..................

The locking of threads is odd.................

If there are better forums to post on, for some people, perhaps pm them and give them a link?

No one is forced to post here?

and BTW, where are you Duffy??

Probably off somewhere chuckling to herself about the stir she's caused.

I bet none of those were started by the OP either. That is the problem people complain & want 'entertaining' but don't actaully contribute anything entertaining themselves.

One of those threads mentioned up there, got the OP of the thread a ban for 2 years approx. Under the old CW mods/rules...not the new system.
