We got the original soda stream with the glass bottles for Christmas when I was a kid. I still have a scar on the top of my big toe from when my sister dropped it, the top of the neck broke off, the bottle spun around and sliced my toe.
We got the kids one of the new gen soda streams a few years ago, they get it out on the weekends. It's still has it's novelty value because in general they aren't allowed soft drinks.
