I used to keep forgetting which side the petrol cap was when I switched to a new car but then someone told me that there would be a little petrol bowser symbol on my speedo dial with an arrow to show me which side it was on.

there was a thing done about a VW once - evidently we don't mention him any more since all the accusations - but the tank lid is under the rear number place - and he spent ages looking it - the petrol attendant didn't know either - I think the end of the thing - "just pour it over the top and it'll soak in somewhere."

lol, that was funny. I have 2 cars each have the tank on a different side, I have to rely on the petrol bowser symbol on my fuel guage to tell me which side to stop at.

A few weeks back I was leaving a servo when a lady that had pulled up behind me asked for help. She couldnt figure out how to open the fuel tank in her hire car. We both searched high and low all over the car and eventually I had a look at the door on the fuel tank for a lock or something and thought what the hell I'll give it a push amd it worked. Apparently on these noew fangled high tech cars you dont have to unlock the cap 🙂

I wish mine was like that Punch. The lever to open mine doesn't get it open properly anymore.

I have an Eclipse peppermint tin in my car. I have to prop the lever up with it and then use the dogs seat belt attachment to hook out the petrol cap.
