I normally read ANYTHING regardless of how inane and ludicrous it is. But I realised today I haven't read any of a certain groups C&Ps for weeks and weeks.
I simply wait until a handful of posters have put their opinions forward and have started a proper discussion and only then do I read and evaluate if it is going to be worthwhile to join in.
You?

I often don't read a lot of the C&P because I have already read them...
some from the other side of the divide I will read because it is always important to hear both sides of the argument before having an opinion. How can I say I disagree with a poster unless I know what I am disagreeing with.

But cat, that's the problem - most often the poster hasn't offered any opinion simply C&P'd 200 or so words without any input. Why bother? It's just so boring.
At least when you post something, you offer your opinion or make comments. And then you come back to your thread to back up your opinion. So even though I know I am going to disagree with you (politically anyway), I always read YOUR posts cause at least I know it will be a decent exchange/discussion/argument.
How hard can it be to do the same?
I notice that the posts by the serial offenders are taking ages to even get a first bite these days and often fall quickly to the bottom of the page. Doesn't that tell them something?

No they're too long and I have better things to do really.

I don't read them simply because that is all they are C+Ps of others opinions...very rarely is there any personal input.
If I want to read these articles I can do so in the actual newspaper etc that they are taken from.

I never read the political copy pastes. I scroll to the bottom, see Bolt's name, then back out until people post comments. I also don't read the really long posts, or those who rattle off several in a row... can't be bothered. Most often you can predict what they've said anyway.

I read some, not very long ones though usually.
The opening posts that are just one big long C& P of a political nature, I give up after 1 or so sentences (that's enough to give you the gist of the rest of it).

Yes I read them, I love them
