..... the content of most of the topics here is getting progressively sillier.

The Domain in Sydney used to be very entertaining of a Sunday. Soap boxes, out in the fresh air.

why is it objectionable when 1 poster does it , but OK by some here when we have wall to wall pickering spliced with newsltd rubbish we could find for ourselves ? some of the conservative posters have a blind double standard .. what about the faberge themed spamming from yesterday ? i didn't see a word uttered on that topic.

maybe some posters see it done purposely to annoy, doesnt bother me so much but it seems thats the motivation

I'm not a fan of faberge eggs so I didnt venture in there much but to me it looked like lots of photos, a bit like the photo thread, more than a lot of vey long text C & P's.
I'm not fussed about who posts the lengthy cut and pastes, they are all equally annoying, especially the ones with large, bolded or red font.

I don't like to complain about thread titles, as I don't start any myself usually, but I will comment that the 1st page of CS is often like news.com.au or similar. Articles I have either read from the source before they appear on CS or wouldn't bother opening as they are just click bait (not real news, funny stories excluded).
I love all that stuff! I don't buy women's gossip magazines, I don't watch TV, if it weren't for Icy and the likes opf those posts, I'd never know what was going on in the world, I have to rewad here to find out who's died, married, given birth etc (meaning celebrities) and lots of times those links lead to otyher brilliant stories - a recent memorable one was from some current affairs programn showing how an entire community banded together to make the life of a person with CF and their family a bit better.
Plus, didja see that $45 million desert oasis?
That's stuff I'd never see if it weren't for threads like those you mention.
