Commiserations Lurker, I care enough to hope you don't get it as bad as hubby and I, been a week so far, never been so crook in my life, sick of laying and sitting around doing nothing, our foul weather hasn't helped either. I have no remedies to offer you as nothing has worked for me yet.

Hope you're feeling a bit better......and here's a recipe that really does help. You may not want to get too up close and personal with anyone because of reeking of garlic but who cares if it helps.
put 1 cup of lemon juice, 2 or 3 (or more if you wish) crushed garlic cloves, about 3 cms of chopped ginger into a saucepan and bring to a boil, then simmer for about 5 mins. Strain into a container or glass and add a tbls or more of honey, then stir.
Drink the amount made over a day, warm some in the microwave throughout the day. Make a new lot each morning until you feel better. It soothes sore throats and the garlic and ginger help fight the germs.
