THE EVENT
Beginning in 1977 as a 2 day weekend event with only 72 cars, the Valla Park Rod Run has grown to in excess of a full week of indulgence, with an average of around 350 cars each year and is believed to be the longest running and free entry Rod Run in the world.

Yes Kopes, I went to school with Karen (the non offending mum) and have known her as a good friend all my life. She has Parkinsons disease and has more than enough to cope with without the last incident

The incident occured about 100 metres from the Mish Pre school, the Muurrbay language centre and the Mish itself.

I can't go past the spot without thinking of Kazz although I barely knew her.
I didn't know the other girl at all. I don't know how either families or extended relatives are going to cope passing the spot
Their has been a growing tribute of flowers and drawings on the spot that seems to get bigger each time I pass..

if you get the chance check out a hippy chick with a stick...this is her path to healing...After each drawing the tide slowly takes the image she created away.
