Re: I wanna know........

I think the gap between the classes is getting bigger, the haves and have nots.

There has been an ongoing campaign by the government for some time blaming the unemployed, the disabled and the elderly for being a burden and the cause of increased taxes and reduced services and middle class has taken every thing they have been told and believed it and become increasingly less tolerant.

People are finding it harder to make ends meet and cant work out why, and they get angry

I think you nailed it Hawk.....In my region, the unemployment is off the scale, but they do nothing to create jobs.....just crack down on disability pensioners, single mums and unemployed like they're social criminals.

In numerous regional areas, unemployment is well over 10% of the working age Population, but neither side wanna come clean with the real figures.  I know pensioners who will go without heating and for the most part, electricity and even food this year, because they simply can't afford it anymore.  I know one old bloke who uses a torch to get around his house at night like he's living back in the depression or something.

Too bad if he falls over in the dark and breaks his hip or something.  So sad to watch older Aussies having to scrape to get by.  That's what I mean about Aussie Spirit.  We need to start making a noise.
