It was almost the midnight hour and I was driving home from work. No traffic at all on the road and I guess it was too easy to not notice I was speeding. I heard the whoop woop and looked in my rear vision mirror and there he was.
I've seen cop shows on TV where if the driver gets out of car the police can shoot 'em. So I stayed in my car and wound down the window and my kitty heart was pounding. Not because he was built like a footballer but because it's my first time.
He wanted my licence and he sat in his car for ages! Why? It's not like I have a rap sheet (cop shows again).
Then he gave me a speeding ticket which I deserved and off I went red faced. ![]()
When was the last time you were given a traffic ticket?

Twice this year,
First in Jan & also charged with driving without lic,the LOVELY police-women accepted i had no idea i was driving without a lic & i just scrapped in before 12mths was up which after that would have been alot worse.
Second speeding ticket photo caught me with my mouth open just as i saw the camera & then the flash.........bugger.
Now i drive on the speed limit, was exy & cant afford anymore demerit point loses.
Now i watch everyone speeding past me,i wait for a flash & it never happens & some people are way over the limit.

I've been chased & pulled over 4 times. The first time it was a dark rainy night in Sydney & the officer asked " were you afraid to stop and pull over?" I, of course replied "yes officer" & he bade me a safe trip home.
The other 3 times was in Darwin in the wild days .
The police chased me all the way down Bagot road with lights and sirens. They caught up to me at my business in Stuart Park very angry and asked "didn't you hear us? " I replied no officer" he let me off. The other time it was late and I drove up a one way lane the wrong way and a cabbie reported me.
I was driving the only Monaro in Darwin. The station officer asked the cabbie if I was a young blonde and he said "yes". I never got a ticket because the officer was my girlfriends boyfriend.
The last time Iwas pulled over for speeding, I'd forgotten to register my stonking big Fairlane & my licence had
expired.
By that time I'd married a very impressive big wheel in town & all charges were dropped.
I have been a very good girl since then ๐

Not ever had one, last time I renewed my licence it was 1/2 price because I'm a perfect driver.
Lucky ducks over there. Never any carrots here for doing the right thing, just big sticks if you step 1mm out of line.

He probably sat in his car telling all his cop buddies on the CB radio about the HOT bird he just booked for speeding. I am surprised you didn't get another ticket for being too HOT. ![]()

I'm very proud of having all my points.
I'm quite content with having none for the past 23 years.

A clean licence has 0 demerit points.
A licence is revoked/disqualified upon accruing 12 demerit points. (Full) or 4 demerits on Ps
