I copied some photos last night and I wanted to post them here but I thought better of it because they are very distressing.

Is it time for Tony Abbott, Dutton and Chris Morrison to look into their hearts?

Turn back the boats to what? Stop the boats for what reason? I have no doubt that they have seen these photos of a young 3yr old boy washed up on the beach and his slightly older brother and his mother drowned too.

Why doesn't the U.S. Take Mexico under its wing? It seems like us cutting off Tassie because there's a little bit of ocean between the mainland.

I can't believe you said this. It's simplistic.

The New York Times. That's what I just posted. The whole world needs to work together with this huge problem. It's like a world war that everyone is turning their backs on.

And they're condeming Abbott, but not really helping ease the situation themselves?

How typical for someone to point a finger at the US. No one...I repeat, no one said specifically that Australia wasn't doing enough to help the problem. But if it eases your guilt have it. And don't bother quoting the NY Times as representing what the average American thinks....unless you enjoy being wrong.

We're busy dealing with a flood of lazy immigrants from mexico to south america looking for a free ride.

Over 20 million of them draining our welfare, education, medical and every program that exists here. And if you haven't noticed we're heavy in dept and can't afford it. Would you like even 10% of them?

That's the population of your entire country!

Well said and cuts through the simplistic gobbledegook. That's like saying why doesn't Australia take Indonesisa under its wing. A corrupt country and a Muslim country that would fit in so well with our western culture.....not.

Sometimes I wonder about some people who really have no concept or understaning of a complex issue but, hey look over here there's a unicorn!

I just had a brilliant idea
Why don't we just bring all the world s
Refugees to Australia
All the white Australians can immigrate to
Germany
And everyone would live happily ever after

Both Germany and Austria have now opened up their borders for refugees. It is heartening to see at least some countries being a part of the solution instead of being part of the problem.
