Both Mr Porter and Mr Tudge have portrayed themselves to their electorates as family men.
Mr Tudge has publicly represented himself as a social conservative and an advocate of traditional marriage.
During the same-sex marriage debate, Mr Tudge told Parliament that by changing the Marriage Act to allow same-sex couples to marry, "the institution itself would potentially be weakened".
After publicly opposing same-sex marriage, Mr Tudge voted for the reform after his Melbourne electorate voted in favour.
Malcolm Turnbull (then PM)
"There's no question that some of the most trenchant opponents of same-sex marriage, all in the name of traditional marriage, were at the same time enthusiastic practitioners of traditional adultery,"
"As I said many times, this issue of the controversy over same-sex marriage was dripping with hypocrisy, and the pools were deepest at the feet of the sanctimonious."

The Attorney-General of Australia is the First Law Officer of the Crown in right of the Commonwealth of Australia, chief law officer of the Commonwealth of Australia and a minister of state. The Attorney-General is usually a member of the Federal Cabinet, but need not be.

Porter was still pushing this line earlier this month while Four Corners was investigating his behaviour and at a time he was apparently aware his reputation was on the line.
Anthony Whealy QC, chair of the Centre for Public Integrity, said Porter has been exposed as having a vested interest.
“I think there is now a real question mark over Christian Porter’s involvement in the design of this model, and I think we have a better understanding of where he is coming from,” he tells Crikey.
Porter has issued a statement rejecting some claims in the Four Corners story. But his response raises further questions about integrity.
Not only did he refuse to give an interview to the ABC to respond to the allegations, he now claims that he wasn’t approached for a response — something the program denies.
If Porter survives the scandal, Whealy says the government will need to explain why he should keep the job of setting up a body that could eventually investigate his own conduct.
“It throws into relief that this is really what he’s concerned about with an integrity commission,” Whealy says. “He doesn’t want any public examination of ministers’ behaviour.”

!!! Words fail me!!!
During an address to a new cohort of young ADF Academy members, General Angus Campbell told first-year cadets they should avoid making themselves “prey” to sexual predators by not being out late, alone, drunk and attractive.
He said the group must be aware of the “Four A’s” – alcohol, alone, attractive, and being out after midnight The Canberra Times reported.

If my boss said to me "a serious allegation has been made about you.....so are you guilty" I would just say "no totally untrue".
I wouldn't want or need to see and read the allegations/evidence that had been sent to my boss before I commented.... I would just
"naaah mate never happened" ...
