Don't you love all this "It's really easy to do" techie-waffle? "It's so simple".

Then why doesn't it automatically transfer the favourites? Puts hands on hips and makes "Hmm?" face.

Good luck with it all. I'm still being a little shy about taking the plunge into the brave new world of Win10.

It wouldn't automatically transfer favorites from one browser to another, as:

they are different pieces of software, and will work differently, and would require access to change that information

a lot of people use different browsers for different things, and mightn't like favorites being moved across without their doing it, into any browser on that device

e.g. one browser for work, another for stuff like...well...chat forums 😛

or separate browsers for different users, who have their own favorites...

sometimes, the obvious isn't always the answer.

Thanks for the help one and all i'm using chrome i've downloaded W10 however when I try to import my favourites to Edge it's asking me to log into my Microsoft account but I don't know what it is
