He killed her in the town square in front of hundreds of people because she begged him to leave ISIS.
I thought I'd heard every atrocity this terror group had committed including burning a person alive in a gage but this is worse than a dog turning on it's own.

you are comparing a public execution
by a terrorist group to a man who now
wants a death penalty after finding out
the baby died?
something seriously disturbing about
your reasoning.

I think the point myoclon is making is all the mentioned scenarios are barbaric in our innocent frame of mind.
but dont you think that until we know
the details about what actually happened
in QLD, it is wrong to say there was not
much difference between that and this? -
In a shocking low even by the standards of the so-called Islamic State, a militant has publicly executed his own mother after accusing her of apostasy.
The activist group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently (RIBSS) said 20-year-old jihadi Ali Saqr al-Qasem shot his mother Lena, 45, in the head with an assault rifle in front of a large crowd.
Lena al-Qasem is understood to have been accused of apostasy – a crime that usually means leaving one’s religion but in practise is used by Isis as a justification for murdering anybody who doesn’t support or speaks out against the terror group.
The exact charge against Ms al-Qasem was “inciting her son to leave the Islamic State and escaping together to the outside of Raqqa”, according to the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights.
The UK-based conflict monitor said Ali Saqr al-Qasem had reported his mother to his Isis superiors, who then sentenced her to death and ordered him be the one to kill her.
The Observatory said hundreds of people turned out to watch Ms al-Qasem's execution.
there have been many occasions here
when we have been advised not to make
judgements about similar cases like the one
in QLD. threads were even removed or
locked for that reason.
it would have been outrageous on all those
occasions to make comparisons with IS.

There are plenty of things in the bible that allow all sort of atrocities.
As a very wise person recently said: "It is not Christians against Muslims, but all decent people against all radicalised fanatics" and sooner we all realise that, sooner we will be able to disable ISIS. Their most efficient recruiting tool for ISIS are the people who keep demonising all Muslims.

wouldn't they be illegal now though?

And you are lumping all 1.6 billion of Muslims together with the handful of fanatics.

Unlawful killing is illegal everywhere, However, there are countries that still have the death penalty. What does that have to do with anything. Everything that ISIS does is abhorrent and illegal under international law.

And their holy book:
http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran-hate.htm
If the religion was even remotely interested in "becoming" the religion of peace, then they would need to remove
the hate speech from the Quran,(whilst that exist in the Quran they can not be the religion of peace),
It wasn't even "written" until 25 years after the death of the "founder",(the word of that one man is what it is
supposed to be,but as he wasn't alive when it was first produced who knows what that was supposed
to be),
Since you can't leave isis the son would've had no choice to do as he did,(or he would've been killed as well).
This will serve as more propaganda for them on how ruthless they are and how committed others need to
be to join them,(they have no regard for human life),
