Ian Thorpe

He is such an inspiration and a hero to us all, let's hope he receives the help he so desperately needs.

Re: Ian Thorpe

I have no doubt Mrs Thorpe is sick to death of all the comments.... and the media reports... and the questions!

I just don't get why anyone cares so much?

It infuriates me particularly because I have a nephew that some other family members and friends of his parents,  "suspect" is gay and they have this never ending urge to make clever remarks and ask if he has come out yet.

He is single, shares a home with his best friend from school, early 30's, good job, travels a lot, parties a lot, fussy about his appearance etc goes to the gym every day.

I think he is slightly effeminate but may not be gay? and don't care if he is...............but for goodness sake, Iwish he would limit his morning bathroom routine to less than an hour!

Re: Ian Thorpe

I think mr grizz made a valid point. People can call others names but object loudly when they hear the same thing back about one of their own.

Re: Ian Thorpe

Poster above is inferring she knew the swimmer was gay since he was 11 years old. Really?

Re: Ian Thorpe

According to the media, he was due to leave Australia to go back to Switzerland, where he now lives, next weekend but is considering leaving sooner due to media misinformation. Apparently and allegedly.

Re: Ian Thorpe

If I did misinterpret your post others may have also done so pollks. Could you explain it more clearly what that comment meant then please? ..the 20 years ago part especially. If you can't explain it then I will take it as I read it. Also what media outlet did you read about the manager in?

If Ian googles his name today this thread will be at the top or near the top of the search. No wonder he wants to leave Aust.
