If this is true its a bloody disgrace and an insult to the Australian people.
How does Toni think he is entitled to be paid so much more than any other primeminister in the world.
Talk about feeling entitled and its not like he is even doing an average job.

Might be worth pointing out that Tony Abbott FROZE MP's salaries when he took office AND it was Julia Gillard
who was PM when she got a $114,000 pay rise in 2011 which took it to the current level.

Since you're pointing things out, Abbott mocked Labor for freezing MP pays calling it a populist stunt and did not freeze MPs pays when he came to office. He did agree to a 12 month MP pay freeze to start in July last year although the request was belatedly made to the tribunnal so it may or may not have become reality.
And since you can't help but attack Gillard it would be useful to include all the information about the changes introduced with the pay change.

They are definetly overpaid, but Tony Abbott history in the past says that this was just a political stunt:
The Coalition attacked a pay freeze by Kevin Rudd in 2008. Joe Hockey yesterday said it was a stunt :

TA is being paid considerably more than heads of many other countries. I cannot see any reason why our PM should be paid about the same as president of US and almost double to British PM.

though abbott and co, tried to make out 'they had decided to take a pay cut" and were tightening their belts like they were telling everyone else to do, The decision to freeze MP's wages had absolutely nothing to do with them, it was a tribunal decision
some people fell for the lie though
here's some more on it
Remuneration Tribunal decided in April against wage increases for MPs and top public servants
IT was sold as a last-minute decision by the Government to freeze wages of its Federal MPs to ensure they were hit by their own chunk of Budget pain. But that wasn’t quite right.
As it turns out, the body which sets those wages had already decided pay rates would be untouched.
The independent Remuneration Tribunal made a preliminary move in April to not recommend rises for MPs (base salary $195,000) and senior public servants for the 12 months from midyear.
“For some months, noting the Government’s policy, it has been evident that any wages movement in the APS (Australian Public Service) and federal public sector would be restrained,” said the tribunal in a statement today.
“Indeed, at its April meeting, the Tribunal’s preliminary conclusion was that it would determine no annual review increase for offices in its jurisdiction from 1 July, 2014.”
That meeting was held well before Treasurer Joe Hockey said the pay of MPs and top public servants would be capped for 12 ... because “we are going to contribute ourselves” to the Budget repair task.

Taxpayers should get a refund from the PM, theTreasurer and Education Ministers for their salaries. They are all incompetent.
