If this is true its a bloody disgrace and an insult to the Australian people.
How does Toni think he is entitled to be paid so much more than any other primeminister in the world.
Talk about feeling entitled and its not like he is even doing an average job.

$400,000 that's pittence for a world leader.

Thanks Debra, I remembered there was some dodgy with the claim 😄

We should start sending abbott messages with a note highlighting the Singapore PM's salary. He might just pack up and bully his way into the Singapore PM's job and we could be rid of him for good.

Because they basically set their own wages,(it's supposed to be set by an individual tribunal but there is
probably a high chance that they are paid by the government in some way and their pay rate goes up when
they up the government salaries).
Remember this pay rise on top of the whopping pay rise they received less then a year before it:
http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/anger-over-mps-pay-rise-20120704-21gfu.html
What each got in 2013 :

Somewhere along the line the whole payment system to the government has to be be brought before some sort
commission which has no links to the government.
That should include the ludicrous pension system that's in place for them.
They keep harping that it should be based on comparison to the CEO's of other big companies but fail to take
into account that those CEO's actually do their job correctly and they don't get a life time pension.
Australian politicians seem to be the only "employees" that get paid a lifetime pension after getting the sack
because they "served" their time,

I don't recall anyone ever suggesting the CEO of Australia Post deserved to be paid $4.5million. The argument was that whatever he was paid, any private donation he chose to make out of his salary was nobody's business but his own - maybe you don't understand the difference.

CEOs get paid ridiculous money, but they run businesses, which can afford to pay them that. PM is just a public servant, and is paid from our taxes.

It's debatable that the CEOs always do their jobs correctly. They seem to go from one job to another without penalty even when they screw over the company they've been charged with managing.
This gov had no qualms about hiring Bill Morrow knowing he has to face court in the US for causing a few deaths which cost his earlier employer massive fines, at the same time as they were pursuing Rudd over fewer deaths that occurred when the dodgy practitioners abused the insulation scheme, causing the deaths of their workers.
And remember the Telstra asbestos problems that caused dramas for NBN Co? Yep, you guessed it, the person responsible for that mess was rewarded (by this govt) with a nice new job and a nice new pay packet at NBN Co.

agree
Who’s overpaid and who’s underpaid? How do the salaries of well-heeled Australians compare with one another.
