Thanks for your lengthy response, could we leave out the personal stuff and discuss the topic?
If you were Indonesian, what would you think about Australians?
Why don't you put your money where your months is and go to Indonesia, lodge an application to sponsor some of the so called refugees yourself and bring them to Australia and put them up at your places? Go on if you believe in this that much DO something about it.
The hole in that suggestion is that without papers, nobody can bring them here and put them up at their place.
However, it is possible to go there and assist, it is possible to do something, just not bring a person with no papers here.

Neither. That actually sounds a bit rude crikey? 😞
Well, if ever I decided that Australia was an undesirable place to live, I'd really love to go and live in France.
France have laws that I must follow in order to do that. I can't just jump on a plane and demand entry. That's just how it is. Every country has policies and laws to protect their borders and control those who wish to live there. Should I blame the French Government cos I just can't pack my bags and move over there? Should aI defy their laws? Circumvent them? and then spit the dummy when they won't indiscriminately concede?

In response to nero - How about you put your money where your mouth is and sponsor those that you keep suggesting move elsewhere and who would actually like to.
If you think you understood what I just wrote, you're probably right

Our Population:

Poverty comparisons, life expectancy, education standards...........................etc
help me out a bit?
we do have a smaller population.
we struggle to sustain that at the level that is expected.
There is widespread poverty in Indonesia, and quite blatant to, there is also wealth.
But I am not sure where you are going?
Are you suggesting that we forgo some of our lifgestyle to fund that of other countries?
do we forgo our *cough*education*cough* system, our health system, our security etc to bring us in line with some other countries?
