I taught my 5-6 year old nephews how to make stilts with a couple of tins and string. They were enthralled for about....

the best thing i ever taught my nieces was how to soap a cardboard box and use it to go sledding. they only had one sled to share, and fought too mch,so i reached back to MY childhood and remembered this trick. they loved it!
