Anyway Crikey. Shouldn't you be asking the admin? I'm still quite surprised that they could do that.

Hi Vintage...straight back at ya....Hope to be traveling Australia by mid this year. Sick of being a home owner & most of all 'bill payer'. Time for a change.
That sounds exciting!!....I hope it all happens well and in a timely manner for, you, I feel quite jealous!!:)

I don't believe that they would.
My point was actually to show that posts apparently made by me in a different, private forum, were reproduced by a regular member of eBay who frequently posts on the RTR thread.
Clearly that poster had a copy of at least my ID, so it is also clear that they had the opportunity to change the content of that post before republishing it here on eBay.
Just like the trappers say happened to them.
It still doesn't change the fact though that posts made by me were taken from a private forum and reproduced on eBay in the RTR thread by a member who regularly posts there.
That is my main point of concern - I believe that I have a right to be in possession of any information pertaining to that and to do with that information what I choose (within the boundaries of the law). I don't believe that anyone can ask me to break the law or expect any site policy to trump the law.
Unfortunately, some see that a bit differently to me.

I'm sorry Crikey. I really don't know what you mean. If you typed a post that wasn't fitting to the forum and then they changed it so that it conformed to their site policy then you would be best to speak to them about.
Sorry, I can't help you because I have never been a member of that site.

crikey*mate I don't understand your problem but would it be possible that someone on the private forum c&p your post from there and pasted it here?
That is if there is more than just you posting on the private forum.
Surely you should be looking at the source not the end of the line.

John! I sincerely hope you are not about to vanish! We love having you here 😉
And John... I'm trying to behave myself LOL

:^O
Funny thing to say when i do recall who handled those screen shots and spread them through out the web! Now who could that have been?

Posting what someone posted on a private forum not part of the Ebay forums is part one. And petty.
Editing someone else post without their permission and then posting it on another forum in order to ridicule or punish is part 2, andpathetic.
