He's beautiful, Donna

Neighbours departed for a small high-rise unit in a busy suburb

They had a cat similar to Ken but icy white with dark tips

We'd been feeding and sheltering him since almost the start because the neighbours soon tired of the novelty of their pet and in addition they used to vanish for a month at a time

On the eve of their departure from here, they asked if we 'wanted' their cat

Rather than see him dumped in the gardens at the bottom of a high rise, we said we would take him in.  We'd already been taking him to the vet for injuries he'd sustained at the hands of a killer-cat and we'd made a bed for him years earlier with a heated pad during winter because he was left out in the cold

He's a delightful little animal, forever a kitten in many ways.  Incredibly beautiful in appearance and very sensitive.  Last time we took him to the vet, he refused to eat to the point they said they were worried and suggested we bring him home for fear he'd dehydrate.  So they are very sensitive and dependent emotionally upon their family.  Ours likes to be cuddled, indeed, he would die without affection, I think.  He cuddles like a baby and puts his 'arms' around my neck.  Sheds hair like mad.  Adorable animals

We have others also 'donated' by neglectful owners.  It's prevented us from selling and downsizing, but what can you do

You are a tru animal lover. Good on you.Cat Tongue

I will have to take another pic as his head is massive but doesn't look it in any of the pics I have taken

Re: Introducing my new fancy man Ken

What is the difference between a British Blue (which I thought Ken might be) and a British short hair (which was what others suggested on the other thread Ken featured in?)  Or are they the same thing?
