Seriously??
Is this really the time for publicity stunts? Perhaps if it was in his electorate I would support him but otherwise why isn't he doing what he is supposed to be doing right now - running the country.
Or visit to offfer support to areas and families affected after they have take stock of what has happened.
But to actively fight fires alongside men and women who are too busy to have the distraction of someone 'green' next to them or someone who has a posse of media and minders alongside of him is just plain dangerous.
It's really bad judgment on his part. Again.

Okj I have just read an article. It is in his electorate so I think he should be joining in.
I don't think he should be criticised for that.

Talk about low blows....he has been a member of his local brigade for years. If it was OK then, why is it suddenly not OK. Even politicians can only work at their day job for so many hours a day.
