I'm the same. I can't be in a room where someone has let a budgie, or whatever, out of it's cage. I quite like them in trees and flying about in the sky, and I love listening to them, but can't bear them flapping near me. Scared silly of moths for the same reason.

I can remember being a little girl and a moth was flying around and batting my face. I was hysterical.

I don't like them. I avoid them and stay clear. Unfortunately when stupid birds eg pluvers lay their eggs on the ground
it it difficult to avoid them in my area atm... Especially don't like emus. When I was little we went to Koala Park and walked in the area where they had kangaroos and emus. My brother who was approx 12 months old was being held by my aunt and eating a packet of chips... I managed to make a run for it but aunt got chased by the emu was and was crying. Especially don't like the Casuawary.
I have family in Nth Qld and these birds walk around their homes.

They sure are fast.
We have a problem with indian myna birds to make things worse, if we leave our back screen door open they will just come inside which terrifies my daughter. Even if I leave kitchen windows open with blinds down they will try and climb in.
I contacted the council who don't seem to help, I know some councils give out traps. It is a big problem in my neighbourhood.

That sort of fear is probably irrational and more like a phobia, which is very common. apparently. My specialist told me his
wife who is a cardiologist is terrified of birds though never been attacked, and even if she sees a dead bird on the footpath she will cross the road to avoid it.
My phobia is of flying nd I will do anything to avoid it, but creatures don't worry me i even like snakes though avoid them of
course, lol. And sharks.
