Is government control of the education system a desirable "reform"

The question is, should government influence our education systen?

When governmet says it wants the same opertunities for every child is it really saying that it wants uniformity in education , such as what is being taught and how it is being taught.?

Is it better to have diversity in education as to what and how kids are educated?

You are mistaken on several counts Joz.

My objection is to the assumption that man made co2 is causing planets temperature to rise. that is a totally unproven theory and if taught in schools as fact than it is akin to brain washing.

I have never denied that humans are having a negative impact on the planet, just have a look around you at the pollution but co2 is not one of them in its current level, in fact co2 is essential for the organisms on the planet. To say it is a pollutant is sheer lunacy.

Lantana is a pretty garden plant, but when it escapes into the bush it becomes a weed... Pollution

paper is essential to an office, but when it's dumped on the street it becomes litter... Pollution

co2 is essential to life, but when humans spew tonnes of it continually, making it unnaturally high it becomes... Pollution.

Completing an approved National Solar Schools ProjectPayment

Successful Government schoolsโ€™ funds are paid to their relevant state/territory education authority. Government schools should not commence their project until they have been contacted by their state/territory to commence work.

Eating pre-fossil fuel, is that any different?
