I was just reading (a particularly boring article) about swearing in the workplace and was wondering what was appropriate or not?
In my office we all swear like crazy and no word is off limits but never in front of clients and never at each other. BUt everyone is young and creative and a little hyper so it kind of goes with the territory.
Is it OK?

no it's not ok IMO.....nor is it for an employer to swear, one of the reasons I terminated a contract.

I reckon maybe it depends where u work?
A community agency different to a fancy lawyers office?
I have no suits working where I work, maybe that's a difference & martini might have no suits either?

Yep, all the time in my workplace. I swear at the vacuum cleaner, I swear at the washing machine, heck I'd swear at the cat if we had one :^O

Yep, I eff and blind all day long, mostly because I work with idiots - colleagues and customers. Not at them, just general cursing.

My workplace has children aged 6 and 4, regularly.... I am not allowed to say idiot or stupid. Even to/about myself.

Doesn't matter whether people wear suits or work boots....it's respectful not to swear.

I don't care who swears.
I don't like swearing in attack of another.
