Is it possible to dye vertical blinds?

........

I had a look on YouTube, but couldn't find anything.

Has anyone ever  successfully changed the colour of their vertical blinds? How did you do it?

Thanx folks 🙂

I agree with this.  They are the ugliest solution for windows that ever was invented.  I bought a unit with them already installed, and almost before I put the keys down, I was up on a ladder dismantling these blinds.

100% agree. They are so ugly.

We had them in this house when we bought and like polks pulling them down was the first job after opening the front door.

I have white pvc verticals and I love them! The light and privacy can be directed where you want them.

I hate drapes and venetians with a passion.(dust collectors)

The only thing I would ever change to is the sliding panels.

I've been thinking about what to do with my blinds ... in the bedroom I have vertical fabric blinds and in the living room I have a full blind, also fabric.

What I am thinking of, rather than painting all of them, is to get some stencils (eg flowers, leaves) and just jazz them up.  My unit is really tiny and I think that would work.

Oh, with the chains ... I have been thinking how nice they could look if I replaced them with coloured beads.

Ahhh..... awesome, thank you.

I saw on youtube one guy who stencilled (sp) Mario Brothers onto his verticals. It looked amazing, but its not for me. I guess in reality, anything could be done to them, and if prepared right, and finished of right, then anything is possible. 🙂

cheers 🙂

Re: Is it possible to dye vertical blinds?

That's a bit expensive for timber venetians. If you have a Spotlight store handy they do quite a good range of blinds including timber venetians at a not bad price.

My loungeroom windows, and 2 bedroom windows are just over 3m in width, so blinds had to be a special order. I checked out Bunnings wooden venetians, and the widths were just all wrong. I would imagine that Spotlight would be the same. We don't have a spotlight here, but its only in the adjoining town. I will check it out next time i pass through there.

Thanx
