Don't get me wrong...I am all for the ALP's NBN....we need it. The coalitions just doesn't compare...
however this story that has come out this evening is pretty concerning!
"If you are part of the general public you would want to know that people who are removing asbestos pits out the front of your house have been trained to do so."
"There is no safe level of exposure to asbestos."
It's a serious concern for the workers and the public!

Yeah, so why the guy with about 4 or 5 trips to court so far for dumping the stuff all over Sydney from the back of a dump truck without any covering over the stuff?

Somehow I doubt he picked up the load in Tassie.

On any registered site in NSW, the very suspicion of asbestos closes a site down.
I have been working on a renovation of a new building (2005) that was shut down for 2 weeks because they had vinyl tiles on a bathroom floor. Someone thought all vinyl tiles contained asbestos.
And even though they determined the tiles to be too new for asbestos, they still weren't allowed to pull them up - they had to get specialist subcontractors in to lift and dispose of the tiles.
This is fairly standard for any construction site.
Who knows what shonky building site the guy with the dump truck full of asbestos was working on. I doubt very much it was a legal build.
