The owner of a property's address?
I know the name of the person, and I also know he lives in QLD.

I'm just putting it out there for Freddie to consider so that she has the chance to be prepared. It is possible. It can, has and does happen.
What can, has and does happen?
How does a RE force an owner whose property they manage to list the property with them exclusively if the owner wants to sell it?
All the owner has to do is end the property management arrangement with the RE and change to another one for management or sale.

Freddie, have you googled your address to see if it comes up in Real estate.com or Domain. You'd know for sure if it's listed
Yes, not listed. We have a lease until January.

joz - maybe WA has different laws for that?
Listing for 3mths and if not sold then, not being able to sell it yourself or with another agency for a further 6mths is ridiculous, especially if as you say, the vendor feels the agent/agency is useless and wants to try someone else.

If it's an unusual name, you might be able to track him down through White Pages online. I just did a test run and was able to find my BILs address just by typing in his surname and initial. If you have more than one initial so much better. If there are several you might have to ring each of them them and ask do they own your address.

dunno, the agents advertised your property {virtually everywhere}, presented your property, made it aware to the public that is available for sale, they did the background work. I can see where theyre coming here, a future buyer after the 3 month contract term, might have only known that its for sale because of the agents involvement.
It might take months to forget about the agents involvement.
(gawd internets that slow i might end up on the snipe lol)
