Is this singlet RACIST

Looks like yet another storm in a  tea cup from the easily offended no sense of humour and we hate Australia mob

This Singlet and T-shirt has been available for a number of years on the web, on eBay and in many shops around the country until some super sensitive poonce from Canberra on an end of season  footy trip to Cairns with his team  decided to get himself all offended and post a pic etc and then the usual easily we hate Australia types all jumped on it  (seems some ACT AFL players are over sensitive)

So is this RACIST or simply a singlet that’s says you are proud to be Australian and  if you don’t like it here leave.

Is this yet another storm in a tea cup from the easily offended humourless types

An original Tweet by George Craig from Canberra  posting a photo of the singlet with the caption “@woolworths cairns, selling racist singlets for everyday low prices! #racist” was shared by Greens MP Adam Bandt on his Facebook page.

Deb, It was a show of might. It would have had the same effect if the devices were detonated off the coast of Japan as a demonstration without the loss of many thousands of lives.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

The rational for the use of the bomb was that after the loss of life at Okinawa in all the military both American and Japanese as well as the suicides of the local population in fear of the Americans , the Japanese would have defended their home islands to the last man and the cost in human life's would have been in the millions and the war could have draged out for another 5 years, then throw in the reality that the new weapon needed field testing

"Kroutenburger instead of Big Mac?"

Your finally starting to get it now....... I'd rather eat a Big Mac!

And please don't try to teach me about American history. You look at "The Bomb" and that's all you see..... One sided... Period! Ok go back to google.... 😉

Re: Is this singlet RACIST

The biggest factor still lies in the fact that that America entered the war at a late stage and did not have a large well trained military force with combat experience so they relied very heavily on bieng able to throw wave after wave of troops at a battle and overwhelm their opposition with numbers , it wasn't till late in the war that technology and training was upto speed so the loss of life in taking Japan would have crippled America both financially and would have effectively wiped out a generation of young men

Well what do you know the spelling and grammar card the sign of a lazy person who thinks they are of superiorintelangence but unable to prove it

Spelling, grammar and comprehension irritates some people when it is wrong...........................does it make a difference when people correct it politely? or not?

do you do that in real life? -

lets say you are invited to a morning

tea with friends and friends of friends.

discussing current events or whatever.

there is a person who keeps mispronouncing

their words like aksk  instead of ask or

of instead of have etc.   do you point them out

and correct them?

I correct my children if need be, my sister, my nieces, my grandchildren, my nephews........................... we often have conversations about spelling etc, signs that are incorrect and should be changed,  at a social gathering of other people, I wouldn't correct anyone, although it would grate on me to listen to it.

I like to ask if I have a word correct.. or not. I have often asked in here about words that sound the same but are not spelled the same...........

also, the use of spelled and spelt.

LD, I was actually asking Kilroy, using his manner of speaking as the quote................... because I was interested in his thoughts about it. His post was not exactly polite to the poster he was speaking about.

No bullying, nothing negative, despite your good try.

I know about his dyslexia because he told me some years ago but I had forgotten over time.

Re: Is this singlet RACIST

Didn't you post recently you don't care if people point out your spelling/grammar mistakes? Now you are playing the opposite card  to that and showing offense.
