Trying to make sure Labor doesn't get back in?
Given that Tony Abbott is so incredibly unpopular.

Resignation might be his best option now.
am3 the media are trying to drive this vehicle and a lot of the uninformed passengers don't have a clue where it is going ans worst of all, they don't even care. Your opinion only. I disagree strongly with that view.
A lot of the public/voters do care, and they are speaking to their local MP's to tell them they are dissatisfied with the PM & Govt policies.
am3, I will ask your opinion on how you see and improvement in the quality of life by changing the Prime Minister.
Will all problems miraculously vanish?
The current Govt is targetting the young, the sick and the poor (although the Budget proposals they tried to introduce to achieve that aim, were duds and have failed to pass Senate).. Australia is on the whole will be better off without Tony Abbott and the LNP Govt. We need a Govt that is fair to ALL.
See if you can answer with out any reference to media hype.
The media articles I post, I agree with the content in them. The same points I would raise, are written in the articlesbetter than I could write.
I would much rather read a post that claims the Govt does this or that or doesn't do this or that also includes a link to facts that confirm what the poster is assuming/inferring/suggesting.
One more sleep.

Labour as in workforce etc, yes.
The ALP adopted the formal name "Australian Labour Party" in 1908, but changed the spelling to "Labor" in 1912
Yes, I know that. But I know how the word IS spelt in this country. I am Australian, not an American wannabee. Have not problem with the way Americans spell. I prefer the way I was taught.
Contradictory to the above declaration
Put the shoe on the other foot. And I don't like any of them. This site has become Labor central.
Yeah, thank God Labor isn't in power atm
So are you saying those who wish to talk about the ex Labor Govt can't? Shouldn't? Relevant or not, they have a right to post their opinions, don't they?

Planet reality. He had a lot more vote against him than any LNP supporters thought!
Some reading for you.

The spill may actually work in his favour with some sympathy for him, but sympathy does have a short shelf life and it will take just another bad political move /statement and then his popularity pummels again to woeful lows he just can't seem to climb his way out of. The Labor party had it right - to change a toxic leader, but it was badly handled and became more personal in fighting than professional bloodletting.

If he has to walk around second guessing everyone so he doesn't stuff up again, can't make decisions without running it past others, then he is not acting/fulfilling the role as a Leader.

I kind of feel bad for Joe Hockey, he probably had visions of taking over from Abbott but his dramatic fall from heir apparent is some what pathetic and cringe worthy to watch. Abbott is like watching a B-grade 50's horror movie that for all it's seriousness is just unintentionally funny to not find it amusing - he might be the monster in the film but it's the potential victims that have him running scared lol
