Trying to make sure Labor doesn't get back in?
Given that Tony Abbott is so incredibly unpopular.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Jesus, what planet are you on.
He won and by far more than anyone thought,
He didn't actually win anything. The vote was whether they would proceed to vote on a spill to the leadership. A startling result when you consider that there was noone actually standing against him. It was not a vote on the leadership itself. As has been reported throughout the left, right and independent media outlets this still shows that up to 40% of the sitting members are disassisfied with the leader of the liberal party and they wanted an opportunity to put a vote to replace him.
Nearly all the MSM, left , right and otherwise are stating that he can no longer reasonably expect to continue in the position with the support of the party members. With the NSW elections coming up, they will be extremely concerned at the outcome considering what happened in Vic and Qld.
And it was a vote put forward by his own party members.

am3 your prediction of "He will be gone by Wednesday" looks pretty shakey don't you think?

Of course the media is saying that. This whole fiasco was of their doing.
The media has to have blood to report on and where there is none they will thy to create some

Nope, I didn't say which Wednesday!
It's not over yet!
Today
Tony Abbott's removal as prime minister not a case of if but when
p.s. I am sure you could find other posts of mine that suggest if he didn't luck out today... then he will still have a good chance of being dumped sometime in the near future. You know like the one I replied to you about IF 40% of votes went against him - showing disunity etc.

I agree with you re the media to a certain point but, this government has played a major hand in the stuff ups they have committed. Up until now they have had a relatively easy ride from the media but now the tables have turned and they are experiencing similar things that the previous government did.
And the media is 24/7 now so the blood flows much more freely than it used to.

OK oh prophet, prey tell which Wednesday will the deed occur. or isn't you crystal ball that accurate?
Perhaps it should be recalibrated.
You see am3 it really pays to take what the media disgorge with a lot of doubt and not just lap it up as though it was manna from heaven.
If you apply some original thought and a modicum of logic you may get a better understanding of how things work.
Being spoonfed by the media and swallowing every scrap without examination leads to egg on face 🙂

It appears to me as though being media and poll driven is an ingrained Leftie trait, probably hereditary 🙂

I disagree with your post. I will continue to read online news and comment on it here as I see fit.
Cast your mind back to the barrage of quotes from Pickering Post etc, we got before the last election.. Now that was tripe. His diatribes WERE lapped up and thought of as manna from heaven.!
Tony Abbott is still sure to get dumped as Leader. I specifically answered your questions about that, before today. Questions that said what will happen if the spill doesn't happen. The answer was he will get dumped fujrht along the track.
As that further along the track is in the future, you do not know if TA will remain as PM until the next election.

That tone of post is so funny coming from those who bought every single lie that Abbott and the media ever uttered about Gillard. Such ineloquent pomposity never fails to amuse.

10 kudos, to karlia!
Quotes from The Daily Telegraph, Pickering Post, Bolt blog..... came thick and fast.... such sensationalised nonsense. Other 'news' quote from unreliable sources (fb?) - JG's partner gone to live in a caravan in the woods....
Pickering who came out of retirement just to try and bring Gillard down (fact he openly admits this) boy was his diatribes lapped up and post here as gospel!!!
As if anyone who supported that can come out now and criticise the current msm and anyone who reads it and quotes it here.
Hypocritical comments comes to mind.
