It's a small world - the people we know and meet

My husband and his family used to live next door to my family, 20 odd years before I "met" him.

I was only two when his family moved away, so I never knew them really. Then about 20 years later, by sheer chance, even though we had been working for the same company for a few years, we were never at the same location until one day by sheer chance we ended up at the same place.

When my mother said "I think one of 'Mary's' boys works there, I'll see if he will show you around", I don't think she anticipated just what he would show me.

(I was new to that city and had transferred there on the Friday, rostered to start work on the Monday, so I had no permanent residence and had no idea where anything was)

As of today, we've now been married for 20 years.
