I  read somewhere - but don't know if it's true - that he had fallen foul of ISIS and was on the run from them. If this was the case then, glad as I am to see the back of him, I can't help feeling it's rather a shame he was taken out by US and not ISIS - what a salutary lesson  that would have been for aspiring jihadis

Thanks Julia. What a pity they didn't get to him first - imagine what that would have done for their recruiting campaigns.

I don't think the families of the people he beheaded care who got him as long as someone did. This monster could not be allowed to live in a civilised world.

Hiya, what it has to do with the topic is that all those in conflict throughout the ages have claimed "god" was on their side.

IS (and JJ) claimed they're following the words of the prophet and therefore the words of "god". Those opposing IS are also claiming in countering IS, they're following the words of Jesus and therefore the word of "god".

Have a read of the lyrics and see that Dylan was a bit prophetic himself so should we be following the words of Dylan?
