LOL!!!!!!
Peter Reith has lost his marbles. He seems to think that Bishop has proved herself during the MH17 event and therefore jumps to the conclusion that she has 'proven' herself to the degree that Australians would accept her as our leader.
He seems blind to her misteps to date (actually lauding the mess she made with Indonesia) and is effusive in his praise of her disagreeing with TA and Liberal Party politicies (as if we should be thankful of that).
Mr Reith - you are often wrong. And this one is wrong on a gargantuan scale..

The last time I checked, we actually don’t actually elect a Prime Minister.
If I remember my primary school political studies, we elect a local member, that member then become a member of Parliament and then, it the elected members of the party which holds the majority in the House of Representatives who select, form amount themselves, who is to be the Prime Minister. That is he is the “Prime” Minister not the Head of State.
So where does “Australians would accept her as our leader” fit into the above.

There's no way she would be successful. She is single and barren. Can't have that.

Julie will be far too old by the time the LNP is elected federally again.

Hey don't shoot the messenger.
If you have an issue with someone suggesting she would make a good PM (excuse me while I vomit) take it up with Peter Reith.
