It's a very big responsibility determining whether someone committed a crime or not. You have a person's freedom in your hands.

The minute detail that is gone into is mind numbingly boring and can be distressing. Years later I still feel sickened by 12 pages of discussion regarding the small discharge stain in a **bleep** victim's underwear; did it mean she was aroused and wanted intercourse to occur. Apparently not as the man was convicted but it had to be brought up anyway.

Yes and you also have the victim's future in your hands............. you can never be sure no matter the decision. 😞

You are correct, but It can be easier to believe a victims story than a person who is accused of a crime which is why I posted as I did.

It is a big responsibility, that's why it's so important to listen carefully to all the evidence.

My husband has done it a few times. He doesn't get a free lunch! Nor really a week off work because most of his work is sitting there waiting when he gets back to work.

What I found interesting was the fact it was up to the crown to prove the kilograms of grass were there to sell, not up to the guy to prove he wasn't selling it. Guy apparently had no idea his wife had all that stuff when photos were presented of the stuff in the kids toyboxes and a bag on one of the kids bedside tables. Guy only lived in the lounge room apparently. The only room with nothing.
