A samsung Galaxy A and I love it already except it won't connect to my wifi. I've tried 6 times. Stupidly my wifi password is about 2 lines long as that's what they told me to do when I first got, so ....
Does it have to be case sensitive?
Any ideas why it won't connect (It says authentication problems)
Any way of changing my password? (to something short)
Very very frustrated here.......feeling sorry for myself as it's a rotten day here in Melbourne and I was so looking forward to snuggling up with my Galaxy ( sad isn,'t it.)

Why dont you copy and paste... copy the password from your Laptop and then paste it into your ipad.. when asked for password..Or put it on USB stick and copy.. some ipads have a lead that fits into the rooter..

Well that sounds a brilliant idea, why didn't I think of that?

Update ......
Both thumbs down for the Galaxy A 8. It won't .......
enlarge text using the finger and thumb, and the default text wouldn't let an ant read it Via the system I've set it to Huge and nuttin happens.
it won't register emails accounts like Yahoo other than Gmail (which I don't use) I've tried 3 options on the device to register accounts and nothing works. Always the dreaded red Invalid.
Just about everything I tap on says to Sign in but with what I don't know.
I've signed in with my google account but nothing happens.
The list goes on.
I'm not a newbie tecchie wise though not used a tablet before but just can't believe this piece of cr#p.
It goes back to the Good Guys as soon as I can get there.
Also I'm not alone it seems as the internet is littered with queries about the same problems.
Sorry for the vent I just have to get this off my chest. .

deep breath bright!
I might be able to help..if we take 1 step at a time.
So from what you wrote, you need a password to activate the tablet, right? And you're not sure what this is?

Also, I just found a phone # you can call Samsung for tech support 1300 362 603, or livechat via this website (not sure if you have another source of internet where you are)
http://www.samsung.com/au/info/contactus/#none
I know it can be frustrating- really frustrating..see what you think is best for you...if you want me to try to help through here, then I'm around today.

I thought I'd replied earlier. Thank you Youcan that is very kind of you.
I've managed to get my Yahoo email accounts on board so small steps.
i'm actuall brain dead right now so will write more tomorrow and prob give the tech help a ring.
I had no idea it would all be so frustrating.

No problem bright- I know how frustrating it can be...but it does sound like you've mastered a few things- so, well done!
Let me know tomorrow if there's something you think I might be able to help you with- like how did you go with the font size?
on โ13-04-2017 12:31 PM
Well via display i set the size to HUGE, by moving the blue dot to Huge, where it says "main text will look like this", but it's made no difference and still says and shows Tiny.
I tapped on default too.
I'm beginning to get the idea of using my fingers to increase the sizing temporarily, which is a bit hit or miss but probably takes practice. As I'd said Yahoo Mail account seems to be well and good, now I'm trying to get ebay to do the same. I use the same email and password as on my lappy but so far no go and have to sign in every time I tap on ebay. But of course I'll keep trying. Looks like I have to re-sign into any application that requires this.
I think part of my prob is that I'm a dinosaur and never used a smart phone, those who have seem to find the tablet much easier.
Slowly very slowly I'm getting there lol. Rome wasn't built in a day and obviously tablets weren't either.
Thanks again for your interest I appreciate it greatly and I will keep you updated. .
