whilst i can never condone misstreating any animal its pretty clear this woman knew no better and wasnt setting out to harm the animal.
i think a $6,000 fine is way out of proportion when i see so many cases of deliberate misstreatment of animals go with a slap on the wrist.
i doubt this woman has $6,000, so its going to do what?
far better to give her a good beaviour period and cant own an animal for X years.
hows about a $6,000 fine for every sheep dumped at sea during transport to the middle east? is a wombats life worth more than a sheep?
the transport company claims they care about the animals too!
