I think he did a brilliant job with the smile. In that link you posted Amethyst, there is a portrait of Princess Diana. It is so much easier to depict more obvious but natural looking expressions, if that makes sense.

I think its a beautiful piece of art of a beautiful subject and im surprised so many people are ripping it to shreds.
I notice lots of copies are already making an appearance. Didnt take long.

I only said it didnt look right.........but as others have said, It is the artists interpretation on what Catherine looks like, so in that regard, he did do a good job.
