FEDERAL independent MP Bob Katter fears he and his supporters will be thrown in the slammer because he's a political threat to the major parties.
The MP's Katter's Australian Party is gaining traction with voters with some commentators predicting it might win several Senate seats at the September 14 election.
Asked if he expects a dirty campaign from the major parties, Mr Katter referred to the jailing of Pauline Hanson.
"My chief of staff had everybody in and said staff understand this ... we expect they will try to throw us in jail," he told ABC Radio on Thursday.
"Every time you fill out a form, anytime you do anything or say anything be aware we are in danger of going to jail."
Pauline Hanson was convicted of electoral fraud in 2003 and spent several months in jail before the conviction was overturned.

for a minute there I wondered what he'd done 😄
does anyone remember those fake photos of Pauline Hansen that suddenly turned up on the front pages of the newspapers, At least he won't have to worry about that happening to him :^O

The only thing I mutually agree with Katter is that Ministers should have expirenced both manual labour as a profession and they should carry their own luggage into parliment rather than having parliment staff carry it for them.
If he is referring to what happened to Pauline Hanson he should be afraid of the Liberal Party, Labour won't send him to jail because they both need more friends and already have enough of their own soon to be locked up.
