Khaled Sharrouf's Children.

Khaled Sharrouf was born in Australia, as was his wife. Do (did)  either of them have dual citizenship and do his children have dual citizenship? If they don't, how can the Government strip them of their Australian citizenship and  refuse them re-entry to Australia?

Faced with that - I can categorically say my child at 7 - would not have ventured near such a thing as a severed human head.

Straight for the hills.

Don't know a kid that would or could handle that.

Most kids would run for the hills but those with a violent drop kick father might fear the violence that would result from refusing to comply more than touching the severed head.

How sad for the children to be so damaged so young.

Indeed - good point.

And there are drop kick fathers here just as violent - but in different ways.

Yes, there are but we make excuses for them and we don't call it terrorism when it's only their women and children under attack.

Not many of those fathers would be unmedicated paranoid schizophrenics jailed for plotting a terrorist attack, though.

All too true Karli.

But the question is can these kids ever fit into a normal - and I use the term loosely - society.

And will others not fear them.

I believe so but it will take a lot of support and therapy. And time. Yes, others will be afraid of them in the meantime. I hate when children are given up on.

And neither do we we demonise their young children who have been 'radicalised' by witnessing their behviour. We seem to regard the children of those we do call terrorists are a different species from other kids.

I hate it when anyone is - given up on.

But where do these kids go for a 'lot of support & therapy' - who pays for it all - yep.

And until it is known - it is unknown - whether they are able to be rehabilitated.

None of us can answer that one.

Yes, I hope they are able to recover and live a normal life.  Giving up on them would be the easy way out but the long term result of that might not be good for the rest of us.

I think we should let the views of the experts prevail.  Dutton sure is no expert and the gov **bleep** on Q&A seemed to enjoy provoking the other **bleep**, until he got the weekly outrage at ABC quota.

Wow, we can't even call           a     t w a t      a         t w a t .  Sorry if that offends anyone.
